If you are new or have a passion for intercession there were examples of decree’s and declarations that were based off of the word of God. One day Pastor Albert told me, “I am human too.” Something on the inside of me woke up at that moment. It suddenly occurred to me that yes, he is human. I knew he was human, but it caused me to see him in a different light, not one of perfection or holding him on a pedestal. I saw the vulnerability of someone who followed God with his whole heart and walked heavily in the anointing, but was no different than I was. He needed God’s grace just as I did.

Many times when I would see Pastor Albert go through trials, disappointments, and hurts caused by other people, God always gave me a strategy on how to pray in those moments. When my pastor talked, I listened. It didn’t matter if it was a one-on-one conversation or him talking with a crowd of people, I paid attention and listened. By listening, I learned the most about him. This is a very fundamental principle that will be discussed in this book. Listen when your leader speaks, and pray for the gift of discernment that God would begin to connect your heart with their heart.

When your leader knows that you love them and your heart is to serve and support them, they will listen and receive from you when they are going through something in the natural or their weakness is showing because they know your heart towards them. You can go to them privately because God has revealed and trusted you, not everyone else. You will be able to share things with them and they will receive. It’s essential to have a pure heart regarding your leader, so you can guard them in the realm of the Spirit.

1. I believe one of the most powerful forces in the world is a Mother’s Love, is can heal, deliver, build, enrich, empower, chasten, edify, liberate, transform, calm, nature, prepare and cause a child to believe in themselves, A Mother’s Love is fearless!
A mother’s voice it has a sound that’s different than any other voice, when she calls your name it’s different, the sound of a mother’s calling out her child’s name carries weight, her voice carries influences, and her voice has the ability to get your attention above any other voice. The sound of her cry has the ability to produces results, and it shift things, it lifts things it moves things it influences atmosphere as it changes circumstances and situations the power of a mother’s cry. We are living in times of great challenges, and a battle for our children’s destiny is necessary and we need to hear the testimonies of breakthroughs, healings and victories that came through the fire, brokenness, loss, rejection, and forgiveness. We understand the reality of lawlessness, rebellion, fatherlessness, poverty, abandonment, broken homes, sexual abuse, anger, mental health issues, drugs, gun violence and suicide which are increasing and robbing our youth of their destiny.

I pray that we as parent’s understand the power of our words, for they mold and shape the lives of our children, let’s build with our words and through our love a more excellent atmosphere for growth so that when they step outside that atmosphere that our words and love gives them the strength and confidence not to be persuaded.

As a mother I always believed that it was important to speak positively to children I never cursed at my children because I just thought it was just wrong to tear down your children with negative words, Proverbs 18:21 states that life and death are in the power of the tongue, are you killing the destiny, are you breaking the spirit of your child with your negativity?
- My love for my children has fueled my ability to press and stand in the gap and to make up the hedge for them so I say mothers cry loud and spare not!
- As parents we don’t have all the answers or get it right all the time, so can’t lean to our own understanding but in all ways acknowledge the Lord and he will direct our path and reveal to us how to strategize for the destiny of our children through prayer and intercession.

An intercessor needs to stay humble and teachable, so it is important to seek out spiritual guidance from those already engaged in intercessory ministry. - 7. A Heart of Humility
The heart of an intercessor is humble before the Lord. Intercessors know that their ministry gifts operate through the power of the Holy Spirit. Your heart should not be lifted in pride. You minister intercession as your reasonable service and as spiritual worship unto God. You are a joint that supplies to the body of Christ and an officer of the king’s court. Do not think highly of yourself or exalt yourself over others. You remain humble as you remember what God brought you out of as you stand as His intercessor. It is a privilege, not a right, to pray for others. Stay low in constant worship and fasting. Constantly check your heart for the spirit of pride. Remember God exalts the humble in His own timing and for His own purpose.
- A Heart of Fervency
The fervent prayers of the righteous avails much (James 5:16). Fervent means you are zealous for the things of the Lord. You have a strong desire to see God’s will accomplished in the earth. You use your intercession as a battering ram, and you don’t stop hitting the mark until you see the enemy has been defeated. A fervent heart is a heart on fire for God.
- A Heart of Love
You must have the love of the Father as you intercede on the behalf of others. Intercessors walk in love as imitators of God (Ephesians 5:1-2). You love people where they are. You see them as Christ sees them (1 Corinthians 13:1-7). You war for them through the force of our love. The heart of the intercessor is one that seeks the more excellent way (1 Corinthians 12:31).
